Job Summary

Manage all aspects of the preventive and predictive maintenance functions for AEP office buildings and service centers in an assigned region. This includes ensuring the effective use of space, managing employee moves through effective space planning and management of furniture inventories. Additionally, manage a variety of functions within these facilities. The incumbent is responsible for effectively managing O&M and Capital budgets and for providing ongoing prioritization of projects that could be accomplished in the event additional funding is made available from OPCos or Corporate Planning and Budgeting.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide direction to Workplace Service Supervisors and Operations Coordinators and contractors to ensure that tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance activities are safely conducted at AEP office buildings and service centers.
  • Ensure that the procurement of goods and services are conducted in compliance with AEP's accounting and procurement guidelines and in accordance with Audit requirements.
  • Ensure that space utilization is accurately tracked to allow for appropriate charges to the business units.
  • Oversee remodeling projects, employees' moves, and ensure that furniture inventories are appropriately sized and monitored.
  • Coordinate with Print, Mail and Food Service Supervisor to ensure operations are supported by the facilities team as needed to perform in a safe and cost-effective manner.
  • Monitor both O&M and Capital budgets that are allocated to the region.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with Business Unit (BU) management and foster open lines of communications with all BU customers regarding matters related to the functions listed above.
  • Manage compliance to all corporate, REWS, and Environmental, Safety & Health policies and operating procedures.
  • Monitor and support employee and contractor training and safety performance, and employee development.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education requirements are listed below:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business Administration or other related fields.

Work Experience requirement listed below:

Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in facilities or construction management.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

These are additional expectations for the job and could include specific work experience, license / certifications, preemployment testing, expectations about travel, shift work, etc.

  • International Facilities Management Association's (IFMA) designations are desirable such as FMP or CFM.
  • Position requires travel around the region as needed and occasional travel to Columbus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Should have fundamental understanding of electrical and mechanical systems (HVAC).

Compensation Range:

$129,963.00-168,952.00 USD
