Team Intro
About the team:
The Accounting and Reporting function owns the general ledger accounting and oversees the month to end closing procedures. They work across various accounting projects, providing technical support and ensuring all statutory requirements are compliant, including preparation of financial statements and liaison with external auditors.

In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.

Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting Expertise: Manage relationships with external accounting service providers, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting packages. Support monthly closing procedures and conduct quarterly reconciliations. Prepare financial statements and liaise with external auditors, ensuring statutory audits are completed within agreed timelines.
- Compliance and Standards Adherence: Stay current with relevant accounting standards, applying group accounting policies, procedures, and internal control practices. Generate ad-hoc reports for applicable regulators and Group Finance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Provide support for quality control functions, ensuring adherence to appropriate accounting standards.
- Technical Proficiency: Apply in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS, understanding its implications on financial reporting. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting purposes.
- ERP Systems Management: Utilize experience with large ERP accounting and reporting systems, preferably Oracle and HFM, to streamline financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- Independent Work and Attention to Detail: Demonstrate self-direction, motivation, and a strong ability to learn, enabling independent completion of tasks with meticulous attention to detail. Thrive in a fast-paced, environment, managing tasks efficiently and effectively. Ability to analyze complex accounting issues and process inefficiencies and recommend possible solutions.
-Communication and Collaboration: Exhibit strong collaborative communication skills, fostering teamwork and ensuring seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree or above, majoring in finance or accounting.
- Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS and its application in financial reporting.
- Personal Qualities: Self-directed, self-motivated, and possessing a strong learning ability. Ability to work independently with meticulous attention to detail, even in high-pressure situations.
- Communication Skills: Strong and collaborative communicator, capable of effective interaction with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Qualifications: CPA preferred.
- Professional Experience: Public accounting experience preferred, supplemented by in-house experience in the TMT industry.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes. Experience with large ERP accounting and reporting systems, particularly Oracle and HFM, is highly desirable.
