JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAPNS2 is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Business Objects (BOBJ) Developer in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate works well with a team and has the experience working with large datasets, creating data visualizations, and has participated in the full product (e.g., dashboard) development cycle (e.g., requirements, design, development, etc.) This role is part of a broader team implementing and maintaining cutting-edge SAP business solutions. As a BOBJ Developer you will work closely with customer end users, functional consultants and other developers to translate current processes into requirements for configuration and development of new functionality
  • Develop new innovative reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations for key stakeholders to enable them to make data-driven decisions faster.


  • Develop queries (e.g., SQL) to provide to help answer challenging business questions from senior leaders.


  • Work with business stakeholders and functional consultants to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for new software applications.


  • Collaborate with other developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance.


  • Designing and developing new functions or improving existing ones.


  • Gather and analyze requirements to design or enhance new processes to improve user experience.


  • Interface with senior leadership for guidance on information strategy, vision, and priorities


  • Create documentation such as technical specifications, test scripts, user guides, and help files.


  • Perform quality assurance testing of new software releases to ensure that they meet stated requirements.


  • Provide technical support to end users and helping them troubleshoot issues with software applications.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience, 3-5 years, working as part of a team as a data scientist, data engineer, or data visualization specialist
  • Prior experience with enterprise software or cloud applications, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, Google
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written


Education:

Required undergraduate university degree, or equivalent training and job experience

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 105200 - 228300(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
