Job Description

***SIGN ON BONUS ELIGIBLE***Park Nicollet is looking to hire a Registered Sonographer to join our Cardiology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
  • Performs cardiac ultrasound exams in the hospital, clinic, and mobile setting.
  • Provides diagnostic cardiac ultrasounds, to outpatients and inpatients, to aid in the assessment and treatment of cardiac diseases.
  • Performs quantitative analysis of M-mode, 2D, 3D, Doppler, and strain imaging.
  • Administers contrast agents and bubbles for exams as needed.
  • Performs exercise and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms.
  • Assists cardiologist with transesophageal echocardiograms.
  • Responsible for off premise on-call hours on nights and weekends.
  • Provides training and support to echo students during clinical internships.

Work Schedule:

M-F, 630-430 (8 hour shifts), occasional call and weekends

Required Qualifications:

ARDMS or CCI registered, or registry eligible. Credentials must be obtained within 1 year from the date of graduation. (similar credentials approved by acceptable credentialing bodies, such as Intersocietal Accreditation Commission - IAC, will also be considered).

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Completion of an AMA allied health occupation program in echocardiography or a bachelor's degree in life science is strongly preferred.
  • For positions with direct patient contact: Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
  • This position requires familiarity and compliance with matters of law, regulations and internal policies affecting the employment relationship, (including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, discrimination and harassment laws).
