Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the development and support of managerial reporting to assist in business decision making, the creation of financial forecasts, and finance representation on internal projects. This role consists of a mixture of complex financial planning, reporting, and analysis on budget, cash flows, operating performance, and business plans to determine profitability capital/cash requirements, etc. In addition, this role will provide proactive financial issue identification and financial tool creation, financial report dissemination, customize reports as needed, project teams' leadership, understand accounting practices, financial education to non-financial stakeholders, modeling, and researching financial topics. Solid skills in financial modeling and predictive analysis are critical to the success of this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads in decision making processes by analyzing comparisons to budget; financial analysis support to work centers and strategy teams. Required to complete certain financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Partners with the leaders on expenses, capital and sales with their budgeting and reporting needs.
  • Partners and educate budgeting leaders to improve financial acumen and help them understand the results. Providing instructions and facilitating the budget process.
  • Provides modeling and decision support for finance leadership, Board of Directors and others are within the scope of this position.
  • Provides "What if" and predictive analysis financial scenario modeling to evaluate future potential outcomes of shifts in business models.
  • Analyzes, interprets and translates competitor data.
  • Designs, develop, and implement a collaborative budgeting and planning process for cash flow and balance sheet that is within the targeted financial envelope and effectively incorporates multi-currency international subsidiary activity.
  • Focuses on continuous learning, seeking improved approaches to increase accuracy, timeliness and usefulness of information.
  • Stays knowledgeable of all aspects of a global cash flow and balance sheet budgeting processes and systems; leading and guiding others through the budgeting process; developing timelines for execution.
  • Develops new financial approaches and implement new tools that enables the Finance function to do more complex and efficient financial modeling as it pertains to sales & revenue and thus become a more strategic business partner of the company.
  • Coordinates and lead the cash flow and balance sheet five-year pro process. Working with stakeholders during the process and maintaining expectations are key elements to the overall success of this effort.
  • Responsible for cash flow & balance sheet components of the financial review packages for the Board.
  • Responsible and communicating the monthly and YTD cash performance and its drivers.
  • Responsible for interpreting the dependencies from the P&L and their cascading impacts to cash.
  • Analyzes comparisons to budget and forecast. Required to complete certain financial reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. Facilitate month-end close and reporting for sales & revenue.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and techniques, financial analysis, and cost accounting.
  • Able to consume large amounts of information, keeping it organized and being able to communicate back to Management in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to build complex models and perform predictive modeling and analysis that provides management insights.
  • Ability to build rapport with leaders in the company in a collaborative manner Has exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills, including experience with and ability to use mass database tools.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and extract insight from disparate sources of data.
  • Ability to apply professional concepts, experience and company objectives in order to perform an in-depth analysis of situations or data to resolve complex issues in creative ways. SEC reporting experience a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that support effective engagement with management and board of directors.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience managing competing agendas and priorities across different functional departments.
  • Ability to work without supervision. Must be results oriented and customer focused. Wide latitude for independent decision making.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages and experience interfacing with Finance ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of Essbase, Microsoft Power BI and the Adaptive budgeting tool a plus.


EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting required finance required in information technology.
  • Four (4) plus years of experience in corporate finance required in information technology.
  • SEC reporting experience preferred.
  • MBA preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
