Manufacturing Sciences & Technology Specialist

We are currently looking to fill a Manufacturing Sciences and Technology (MSAT) Specialist role. In this role within the Process Engineering group, you will be directly involved in Regeneron's newest and most exciting development projects, as well as ensuring our established products can be manufactured across the globe. We provide subject matter expert (SME) support for investigations, changes, and improvements for monoclonal antibody biopharmaceutical drug substance manufacturing processes using a combination of process understanding, data interpretation and analysis. We also provide technical support for internal and external technology transfer initiatives. Our MSAT team is integral in bringing research processes to our commercial organization, maintaining these processes, and ultimately bringing our products to patients in need.

In this role, a typical day might include the following:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of upstream and/or downstream therapeutic protein manufacturing processes.
  • Gather, trend, monitor, and analyze process generated data; summarize findings in memos, reports, and presentations.
  • Ensure operational consistency between manufacturing process areas.
  • Provide technical SME support for internal investigations, generate options to resolve technical challenges, and present them for endorsement.
  • Facilitate and streamline access to information/data through the creation of various informational tools and guides.
  • Drive manufacturing process continuous improvement initiatives using data-driven approaches to identify areas of need and develop solutions.
  • Generate test plans and/or protocols in support of investigational activities or process improvements.
  • Work effectively and efficiently in a team-oriented environment to ensure maximum and high-quality output.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed in a manner consistent with safety standards and within cGMP guidelines.
  • Intermittent travel may be required in support of technology transfer or investigational activities.
  • May involve supervision of lower-level specialists.

Level will be determined based on education, skills and experience.
  • Associate Manufacturing Sciences and Technology Specialist requires BS/BA in a scientific discipline or engineering. Prior related experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
  • Manufacturing Sciences and Technology Specialist requires BS/BA in a scientific discipline or engineering with 3 years of related experience in a cGMP environment, or MS with 2 years of related experience; biopharmaceutical process development, manufacturing, or process engineering experience a plus.
  • Senior Manufacturing Sciences and Technology Specialist requires BS/BA in a scientific discipline or engineering with 5 years of related experience in a cGMP environment, or MS with 4 years of related experience; biopharmaceutical process development, manufacturing, or process engineering experience a plus.

Salary Range (annually)

$58,480.40 - $124,300.00
