Job Purpose:

This position is responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive learning and development programs to support the growth and skill enhancement of our employees. You will work closely with various stakeholders to identify learning needs, develop curricula tailored to different employee segments, and ensure the effective delivery of corporate programs.

Additionally, you will oversee the utilization of learning cohorts, manage enterprise learning management systems, and spearhead content development initiatives. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for fostering continuous learning and skill development within our organization.

This position will work closely with the key stakeholders to provide solutions that align to the strategic programs and priorities for the organization. This position partners and collaborates with cross-functional and enterprise leaders to deliver learning and development programs to benefit the development of workforce talent.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Learning Solutions:
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify learning needs and objectives across different employee segments.
    • Design and develop comprehensive learning solutions and curricula that align with organizational goals and priorities.
    • Utilize best practices in instructional design to create engaging and effective learning experiences.
    • Lead the development of a vision and the creation and implementation of an enterprise- wide strategy for employee workplace learning and development, which leads to improved employee professional development, experience, and business results.
    • Develop partnerships and networks, with a diverse and matrixed community of stakeholders across TruStage and the credit union system, to ensure strategic alignment and effective use of resources devoted to learning and development.
    • Build and lead an effective workplace learning and development function grounded on an economically sustainable business model including the most effective blend of centralized and decentralized resources.
    • Establish and monitor appropriate metrics to ensure improved performance of TruStage human capital and business results.
    • Serve as the thought leader for workplace learning and development including new approaches to learning, creation of strategic partnerships with vendors for content delivery and leveraging technologies.
    • Educate and consult with business leaders on how to apply, leverage, and optimize performance-oriented learning and development to achieve improved business performance.
  • Implement Corporate Programs:
    • Lead the delivery of corporate programs such as mentoring, leadership development, and technical training.
    • Ensure the successful implementation and execution of learning initiatives, including coordinating logistics and evaluating program effectiveness.
  • Manage Learning Cohorts:
    • Establish and manage learning cohorts to facilitate peer-to-peer learning and knowledge sharing.
    • Monitor the progress of learning cohorts and provide support and resources as needed to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Oversee Learning Management Systems (LMS):
    • Manage the enterprise learning management system (LMS), including system administration, user support, and content management.
    • Continuously evaluate and enhance the LMS to improve user experience and functionality.
  • Content Development:
    • Lead content development efforts, including creating learning materials, e-learning modules, and multimedia resources.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of learning content.
  • Build Competency for Training Delivery:
    • Develop and deliver train-the-trainer programs to build competency among internal trainers and facilitators.
    • Provide guidance and support to trainers to enhance their effectiveness in delivering learning programs.
  • Foster Future Skills Development:
    • Identify emerging skills and competencies needed for future success within the organization.
    • Develop strategies to build necessary skills and competencies among employees to meet future business needs.

Job Requirements:
  • Master's degree in business or education with an emphasis in an HR related field e.g., organization development, curriculum design and development, instructional delivery, etc., preferred 10+ years senior management level experience in the Human Resource profession with emphasis in learning, development, culture change.
  • Experience leading the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance of direct reports, including developing less experienced talent.
  • Experience in learning and development strategies and design for the ability to influence and partner with business leaders.
  • Proven ability to build and nurture strong relationships across the enterprise with capability and business leaders and other matrixed teams.
  • Demonstrated success in cultivating, coaching, and developing high potential individuals and teams in a cross-functional and matrix environment.
  • Strong knowledge in business acumen, organizationally savvy, operations management.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay abreast of the current and future learning and development methodologies and trends, including technology.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and a distributed workforce.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly and work effectively as a member of a team. Experience with external, executive, and internal communications.
  • Demonstrated consultative skills and ability to use data to influence decision making.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in banking, finance, or insurance industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams across different locations, including remote or virtual teams.

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.

Base Salary Range:
$121,100.00 - $225,300.00
