The Role

Andersen Consulting is seeking a platform manager to help grow our systems integration and vendor partner alliance practices. This individual will have a proven record supporting systems implementations from a business and/or IT perspective, while working collaboratively with clients.

We are looking for a passionate, results-oriented manager who is adept at project delivery, problem solving, can thrive in complex environments, and has deep and demonstrated experience delivering solutions to market to join our team.

As a platform manager, you will help our clients achieve and sustain competitive advantage by delivering both vendor-based and custom-built solutions. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team including business and systems analysts, technical solution architects, and engineers to design and implement business-driven IT solutions for large global organizations.

You are very well-organized, can prioritize and define systems implementation plans, manage systems requirements backlogs, make quick decisions, and coordinate with the team to deliver quality releases within planned timelines. You understand modern platform structures, cloud architectures, digital platforms and enablers, and data strategy considerations.

In addition, you will play a key role shaping the growth and expansion strategy of the platform solutions business for Andersen Consulting. This includes practice development & recruiting, business development, and corporate development activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting client engagements by leading segments of the delivery teams, monitoring progress, and demonstrating both business and technical capabilities.
  • Supporting systems requirements processes by facilitating discussions with technical, design and business subject-matter resources, documenting requirements, establishing a vision, and leading the IT implementation effort.
  • Effectively work with client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds fostering an innovative and inclusive work environment.
  • Maintain long-term client relationships and networks and cultivate business development opportunities.


The Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in the consulting industry and a distinctive record of professional achievement and impact.
  • Manager-level (or equivalent title) experience at a tier-one consulting firm or in industry.
  • Support sector experts and competency leaders to identify key technologies/software packages across the market.
  • Support market research to identify member firms with specialization in various technology areas/packages and establish growth strategy.
  • Support development of go-to-market offerings tied to complex technology transformation programs.
  • Support the build of an offshore/global delivery model with a highly competitive cost structure.
  • Support creation of processes and methodology for repeatable delivery success.
  • Support development of Go-To Market activities such as running marketing campaigns, authoring whitepapers, securing speaking engagements and presentations at conferences.
  • Analyze and identify the most impactful vendor alliance partners in-line with Andersen Consulting growth plans.
  • Develop business case justification for each vendor partner alliance along with revenue and margin projections.
  • Establish a joint go-to-market strategy with each vendor alliance partner.
  • Work with other Andersen Consulting partners to create scaled delivery capabilities tied to each vendor alliance.
  • Developing client relationships to position Andersen Consulting as (one of) their preferred consulting partners.
  • Lead strategically important pursuits along with alliance partners to drive new business development & revenues.
  • Identify companies specializing in a givenalliance that represent possible member firm opportunities for Andersen Consulting.
  • Support the development of unique and marketable offerings & products that Andersen Consulting can sell and deliver.
  • Experience with successfully managing projects with defined deliverables and budgets.
  • Proven delivery skills including the ability to scope/size a project; staff a team with the appropriate skill set; provide subject matter direction and guidance to a team; manage communications with the project sponsors and manage the delivery of an engagement workstream.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing.
  • Willingness to travel based on the client need up to 50%.
