YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

The Planning Services Designer III is responsible for effectively coordinating and facilitating the optimization of branch system detailing (Power, Lighting & Lighting Control) on multiple projects in accordance with project system budgets, scope, specification, VDC requirements, schedules, and other applicable contractual obligations.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Effectively apply and share the project budgets, specifications, VDC and other applicable requirements scope requirements and constraints specific to branch circuit planning and installation
  • Work collaboratively with Project Teams along with internal and external resources to evaluate, gain alignment, and execute strategies to optimize, standardize and ultimately scale the optimization of branch system planning and installation on a project-by-project basis.
  • Work with Design Build and Design Assist Teams to setup and leverage REVIT design models for standardization and optimization.Facilitate the creation of Superplots with Visually ID of Key Construction Details, discipline and trade views/sheets/layers, and isolation.
  • Collaborate with Project Detailers to support the development of BIM, Field Shops and branch BOMs as applicable.
  • Coordinate with disciplines, trades, vendors as needed on projects.
  • The duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and scope of work being performed by this position. This is not a complete listing and other duties will be assigned based on the position's role within the business unit.


WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Field/foreman experience planning and installing branch circuit wiring a plus
  • 8 years electrical constructability design/planning, branch circuit design, detailing experience
  • Extensive Revit design experience
  • Good working knowledge of Blue Beam, Mark-up and Data Extraction
  • Can be a combination of education, training, and relevant experience


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Strong understanding of how branch circuit systems develop and evolve over project lifecycles including estimating, budgeting, design, BIM, prefab, detailing, procurement, and offsite and onsite assembly and installation along with the needed inputs and outputs to help optimize the whole, eliminate waste and increase overall value
  • Extensive Excel experience including PIVOT Table and Power Query
  • NEC and Applicable Code Compliance
  • Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); Oracle preferred
  • Team oriented with good interpersonal skills and can collaborate with others
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others


TRAVEL:
  • Up to 10%


WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium
  • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
